Protein S Antigen by ELISA

Protein S is a vitamin K-dependent plasma protein synthesized in the liver, vascular endothelium and megakaryocytes. It is a necessary cofactor for Protein C and deficiency may lead to serious thrombotic events. In normal plasma, about 60% of Protein S is complexed to C4b-binding protein, while 40% circulates in its functionally active free form.

Protein S ELISA Assay Kit

  • Rapid, easy-to-use antibody capture ELISA format
  • Simultaneous measurement of Free and Total Protein S by pretreating with PEG; results expressed as relative percent (%) of normal
  • Accurate detection of Protein S antigen levels as low as 5% of normal
  • 6-point reference curve
  • Linearity, expressed as the coefficient of determination (r2) is 0.985 for Total, and 0.992 for Free Protein S. Mean accuracy is 101% for Total, and 98% for Free Protein S.
Monoclonal Free Protein S Antigen by ELISA uses a monoclonal antibody specific for Free Protein S in an ELISA format to measure Free Protein S directly without PEG precipitation.

Von Willebrand Factor

Von Willebrand Factor

Von Willebrand Factor (vWF) is a procoagulant protein, that mediates platelet adhesion to sites of vascular injury and protects F.VIII from proteolytic cleavage in circulation. The most common inherited bleeding disorder is von Willebrand Disease (vWD), caused by either quantitative (Type I) or qualitative (Type II) deficiencies in vWF. While about 80% of vWD is Type I, both qualitative (functional) and quantitative (antigenic) assays may be required for laboratory diagnosis of vWD.

vWF:Ag ELISA Assay Kit
  • Easy-to-perform ELISA method with rapid turnaround time
  • Results expressed in relative percent (%) of normal and standardized against established reference preparations
  • Accurate detection of vWF:Ag levels as low as 5% of normal
  • Less subjective interpretation of results than Laurell rocket EID methods
  • 6-point reference curve
  • Linearity, expressed as the coefficient of determination (r2) is 0.995. Mean accuracy is 103.6%.
