The Protein C Rocket procedure is for quantitation
of plasma Protein C Antigen by Laurell Rocket electrophoresis.
The plate contains antiserum specific for Protein C. After
electrophoresis, a rocket-shaped precipitin pattern forms
along the axis of migration. The length of the rocket
is proportional to antigen concentration.
The Protein S Rocket procedure is for quantitation
of plasma Protein S antigen (either total or free) by
Laurell Rocket electrophoresis. The plate contains antiserum
specific for Protein S. After electrophoresis, a rocket-shaped
precipitin pattern forms along the axis of migration.
The length of the rocket is proportional to antigen concentration.
Free Protein S can be assayed on the same plate as total
Protein S by treating the sample with Free Protein S Reagent
(Cat. No. 5363).

von Willebrand
Factor Antigen (vWF:Ag) Rocket Plates
Accurate quantitative measurement of vWF:Ag in human plasma
aids in differentiating von Willebrand Disease from Hemophilia
A and in detecting carriers of Hemophilia A. Quantitation
of vWF:Ag by Laurell rocket electro-immunodiffusion combines
the specificity of immunochemistry with the speed of electrophoresis.
The kit contains 5 plates with antiserum to human von
Willebrand antigen incorporated into agarose.

Rocket
Stain, 1 x 0.9 g |
 |
The stain is for use with Helena Rocket Plates (vWF:Ag,
Protein C and Protein S). The stain is Coomassie Brilliant
Blue, a very sensitive stain, making rocket measurement
and quantitation simple and precise. Powder is dissolved
in methanol, deionized water and glacial acetic acid to
make 1 liter of stain solution.

Plasminogen
QUIPlate Kit
Plasminogen QUIPlates, 3 x 19 wells/plate
PMG standards (2.5, 5, 10 and 20 mg/dL),
1 set
Graph paper, 1 sheet |
 |
Plasminogen QUIPlate Kit
The kit is designed for the quantitation of plasminogen
by radial immunodiffusion. Plasminogen, part of the in-vivo
system for dissolution of fibrin in blood clots, is a
critical factor in hemostasis. Each QUIPlate Kit has been
carefully standardized for reproducibility and accuracy.
Crisp, well-defined precipitin rings can be read at 24
hours.

Antithrombin III QUIPlate Kit
The kit is for quantitation of human Antithrombin III
(AT III) by radial immunodiffusion. AT III levels have
been shown to be decreased in post-operative patients,
patients undergoing cardiopulmonary bypass and in women
on oral contraceptives. The AT III QUIPlate allows immunological
studies to be completed in 24 hours.
